Now I have completed the buttonhole stitch all the way around I can start on the hardanger design. I don't have a chart but it seems to fall naturally into a pattern, even the corner. I am satin stitching around the cross stitched designs.</p><p>This is how far I have done this month.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkdDm2vJopnE_tZW7coNdyn9v-bdw-XT9lx4c-xVOn1NmI3c4-58CRqyI0CVq7q0KtS88U5ANVLNT1xlEy4DJGksgT7ETnu08Pjf5by6jt2TY37L6S-uFxeXPjOBNdNXm4UrUUhX00YG0JzoJZomVzA4PiTTjMAV_vkBWnqoomO0tfuwQ93zrXClIVzdeG/s1865/IMG_20240218_231223_087.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1363" data-original-width="1865" height="468" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkdDm2vJopnE_tZW7coNdyn9v-bdw-XT9lx4c-xVOn1NmI3c4-58CRqyI0CVq7q0KtS88U5ANVLNT1xlEy4DJGksgT7ETnu08Pjf5by6jt2TY37L6S-uFxeXPjOBNdNXm4UrUUhX00YG0JzoJZomVzA4PiTTjMAV_vkBWnqoomO0tfuwQ93zrXClIVzdeG/w640-h468/IMG_20240218_231223_087.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>Next month I will be working on my embroidery piece for the stitch a day in March. This is an online SAL with Clare at <a href="https://hellohooray.com/">Hello! Hooray!</a> </p><p>I haven't done any since 2022 and I'd really like to finish it. I'm enjoying learning about the various stitches, I already knew quite a few but it's always good to refresh. </p><p>I mark the fabric section with my erasable fabric pen - it disappear after a while, and I'm using the threads from my 'left over' bag. They are threads left from doing kits, I must of had them for ages as it's been a long time since I did a kitted piece.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIgHWIg-VuVU4T1tsWXNDP6eHbrmxe3suxZPrW3y_g3S3rCVe21C8-OGWtS3zB7ZX379Vnxcc9HHOHvTB7yFkms3J0T04OWnzZRLc6IE4NIqlagiV4EriKGjDJ-KzaonEyUk4v7RqGri_O1-3XP5BRuSPFygBNEHxs1QNh-S8dHkiTocKNJE-_rAvEo_C4/s2058/20240225_195314.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; GG, on the 15th of each month, is when we share our latest gifts. These can be gifts given or received, or any item made using fabric, threads, buttons, ribbon, chart, backing fabric that has been gifted. If you visit Jo's blog you'll find the links to everyone's Gifted Gorgeousness posts, thanks Jo.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQAUTWjih6Yu-Od0EyqVkmM0mENEE0eaT0zyqi03vE9bjpWrFZE2arV8AR8cOFw9iVXHoLu4jxwZKrok-dolKI7KHUDW9FMZ4J88vhiS6kDNvCtr-BucoMc6MIwP3Ey1USTmW8SyylFCfPywZK2yQ4soWC6yiu0O16vm2kWvYbm071rFIDfTCKy_2l0Cgj/s2243/Gifted%20Gorgeousness%202024%20logo.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1947" data-original-width="2243" height="348" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQAUTWjih6Yu-Od0EyqVkmM0mENEE0eaT0zyqi03vE9bjpWrFZE2arV8AR8cOFw9iVXHoLu4jxwZKrok-dolKI7KHUDW9FMZ4J88vhiS6kDNvCtr-BucoMc6MIwP3Ey1USTmW8SyylFCfPywZK2yQ4soWC6yiu0O16vm2kWvYbm071rFIDfTCKy_2l0Cgj/w400-h348/Gifted%20Gorgeousness%202024%20logo.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">February is always a month of gifts for us as Hubby and I celebrate Valentine's Day, it's the Needlecraft Haven Valentine Exchange and it's our son's girlfriend's and our daughter's birthdays. I can only share the gift I made for our son's girlfriend as her birthday is the 16th (hence my delay in posting). Our daughter's birthday is the 17th, they both turn 30 this year, in fact they are only 8/10 hours apart in age. We will not be seeing our daughter until the 19th so I'll share her gift next month.</div><div><div style="text-align: justify;">Our son has bought his girlfriend a sewing machine so I made her a sewing box. Another one of my recovering boxes projects, the top is slightly padded so can be a pin/needle cushion too. I filled it will a few sewing essentials. </div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ931tcDGuN5UC1Zjp85WNP-bt7vESN0p5T1AyqMspycK4feDTMoKmjj9VlLAKLosJ7geUZP2J6skRrqBfHqFJ0KI8hzoNs-w6-NKagsPMVsdHxvxkqHTJr_jGRVoR0sID9yZJ-oL-09Z1AfWqlz-0KHR1gUPedKcg9EChgRtPQ7aH4Wrvsn4X7ET5eDGk/s2399/20240206_122041.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2399" data-original-width="2035" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ931tcDGuN5UC1Zjp85WNP-bt7vESN0p5T1AyqMspycK4feDTMoKmjj9VlLAKLosJ7geUZP2J6skRrqBfHqFJ0KI8hzoNs-w6-NKagsPMVsdHxvxkqHTJr_jGRVoR0sID9yZJ-oL-09Z1AfWqlz-0KHR1gUPedKcg9EChgRtPQ7aH4Wrvsn4X7ET5eDGk/w542-h640/20240206_122041.jpg" width="542" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzagyXvi3KsiDwV2iaB6VoZzGhOtHcyWgoP_r35JxUeZTK4uLIdnGV4YTlgTkwqyyap6UFrlvhftUVn-veuvTJsPdHe-mb7rS5liwkaj-7AGdJNJU9VdzYa76KuhFcXNYhbiFPZyXivIBhaoJMTOB-T7vi06NOJ2Q5j6dUl2WQP9FW27jTl8TZZOxFM-88/s3153/20240206_122057.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3153" data-original-width="2669" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzagyXvi3KsiDwV2iaB6VoZzGhOtHcyWgoP_r35JxUeZTK4uLIdnGV4YTlgTkwqyyap6UFrlvhftUVn-veuvTJsPdHe-mb7rS5liwkaj-7AGdJNJU9VdzYa76KuhFcXNYhbiFPZyXivIBhaoJMTOB-T7vi06NOJ2Q5j6dUl2WQP9FW27jTl8TZZOxFM-88/w542-h640/20240206_122057.jpg" width="542" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCJTL8LHjD3fZ83qPX1bJ5zM2LFShBUftrwwZatcEpHert4PVugrX3LDiMMjEbmaNFLGCPGmxaubhkGCWMwyI3rYy0r-86_ALFxapB8C4hdTPgBXEMDQ_D17Lfii8mQy8kC3HYzSQGVQhgQb4UJW37exq_pLPitBedaOzKA2zOZ_72CB2Lz0OTtu7OAlNn/s3821/20240206_122224.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2628" data-original-width="3821" height="440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCJTL8LHjD3fZ83qPX1bJ5zM2LFShBUftrwwZatcEpHert4PVugrX3LDiMMjEbmaNFLGCPGmxaubhkGCWMwyI3rYy0r-86_ALFxapB8C4hdTPgBXEMDQ_D17Lfii8mQy8kC3HYzSQGVQhgQb4UJW37exq_pLPitBedaOzKA2zOZ_72CB2Lz0OTtu7OAlNn/w640-h440/20240206_122224.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">This year the Needlecraft Haven Valentine Exchange was a non-stitchy exchange. It was a secret exchange so we didn't sign the card included in the parcels. It's one I have been meaning to stitch but just haven't had time, I did take a working copy before passing it on and I'm going to ask my partner if she would like to do it as a stitch along in the summer. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIuERUzya-9CqcpJdwhn1JeuvwGnqk7kddxVoG0PXyagZpQAsrTOQ5WkZvY6Qzn456tuCtm5aqXlGMRzUSCuwv8GvkNboSBCR9RH2HqWTfHYTc3UiNW383Lt9ndunEhE5HAfrPgjkas8viWCz0pchXlypJjkT4NYlSZIVR4o05i3ArTU1WoluBJtCp-qYd/s1994/20240212_103941.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1994" data-original-width="1994" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIuERUzya-9CqcpJdwhn1JeuvwGnqk7kddxVoG0PXyagZpQAsrTOQ5WkZvY6Qzn456tuCtm5aqXlGMRzUSCuwv8GvkNboSBCR9RH2HqWTfHYTc3UiNW383Lt9ndunEhE5HAfrPgjkas8viWCz0pchXlypJjkT4NYlSZIVR4o05i3ArTU1WoluBJtCp-qYd/w640-h640/20240212_103941.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">I was a bit surprised when my exchange arrived. I received a parcel in the post and put it to one side waiting for the 14th. As it was a busy day I planned to open my parcel in the evening. To my surprise I had small parcel from Amazon which I opened as we were not expecting anything. To my surprise it was a pair of socks with a note from Needlecraft Haven ... so what was in my parcel? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">A beautiful stitched card along with a printed chart and a selection of Green and Black chocolate bars. I'm sure I could find a few more if I look in the many bags and boxes of 'craft' bits but they would be UFOs as I haven't worked on them for many years. </p>Clare-Aimetuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18424935779788845367noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1257239458835393812.post-42621977696161131092024-01-27T11:38:00.001+00:002024-01-27T11:38:34.616+00:00January Smalls<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLpDEITMOb5JE_VmSfIDXOihnDQRnyavwP9QcQ6inhiCzh4sVfzLpACT4wMJmMK1_p_f22nLh-cL-yWuYErf-JPd5CtNw39RU8Uj3PN19GdqyGxvWG01Dm8Z7V5L7EPCHhBaYZLPpe-sxMEhDxuJh6KzbBi200ldZ38kaIH5qiU4xvt_vjE5xoDXRfO_xx/s280/Smalls%20SAL%20Hoop%202024.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="220" data-original-width="280" height="314" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLpDEITMOb5JE_VmSfIDXOihnDQRnyavwP9QcQ6inhiCzh4sVfzLpACT4wMJmMK1_p_f22nLh-cL-yWuYErf-JPd5CtNw39RU8Uj3PN19GdqyGxvWG01Dm8Z7V5L7EPCHhBaYZLPpe-sxMEhDxuJh6KzbBi200ldZ38kaIH5qiU4xvt_vjE5xoDXRfO_xx/w400-h314/Smalls%20SAL%20Hoop%202024.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The lovely Rachel, <a href="https://tenhourstitcher.blogspot.com/">Ten Hour Stitcher</a>, is the new host of Smalls SAL 2024. It's been in my UFO bag for years. There is no chart I p.otted the Lizzie Kate designs and blocked them out so my Rou d Robin frie DS knew where to stitch.</p><p>The hardanger edging took me ages to work out, lots of tackmsewing to keep the lines straight but thankfully it did meet when I finally got round it all. </p><p>Now I need to complete the kloster blocks for the edging and decide on the embellishing for each design. I decided to unpick the small borders and do block/satin stitch around them. </p><p>This is where I started. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcxwQzTFt_jQdji5zM0iLXGFLgwFC6TYugxPSZHO5Gft4hYQjLVVexM9Vx2b9XJBqW_4o5roLN6auNNZGZVu25Yu6ggDoZtmalD2UIneSNVtLkT-7MKkVjVQY009tSm61W2I9cr7NYfbzZYu2JR45LNis-aE77bHMzP0nr9Cyys2OVtLcJ3Z9IDAmN0bpa/s4000/20240119_090949.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcxwQzTFt_jQdji5zM0iLXGFLgwFC6TYugxPSZHO5Gft4hYQjLVVexM9Vx2b9XJBqW_4o5roLN6auNNZGZVu25Yu6ggDoZtmalD2UIneSNVtLkT-7MKkVjVQY009tSm61W2I9cr7NYfbzZYu2JR45LNis-aE77bHMzP0nr9Cyys2OVtLcJ3Z9IDAmN0bpa/w640-h480/20240119_090949.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">And this is where I am after using all my weekend stitching time on it. I'll be doing a Santa Tree.</div><div><br /></div><div><div>I've stitched the two on plastic canvas, as I did the small Santas for my friends which you can see in detail below. I'm going to stitch a variety of Santas on plastic canvas or using perforated paper. </div><div><br /></div><div>There will be plenty of room for more Santas if you would like to stitch one, it would be amazing to have Santas from around the world. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can stitch on plastic canvas or perforated paper if you have any but if you'd prefer to stitch on fabric please use a design that is just Santa and is no more than 3" x 3" in size. </div><div><br /></div><div>If you send me your finished Santa on whatever you've used in a card it should be normal letter post. If sending from overseas please value your letter if asked for customs to £10 or equivalent. If a high value is put I may have to pay a custom charge, thanks.</div><div><br /></div><div>I will add backing and hanging ribbon and make up any fabric ones. </div><div><br /></div><div>Let me know if you need anymore info, it would be so nice if you have time to stitch and send a Santa, it does make the tree special with ornaments from everyone, thank you.</div><div><br /></div><div>This year I will be donating the Santas to charity, probably nearer the following Christmas and it will be to either a children's hospice, our local hospice or an old peoples' home. I only record what I have worked on not the time or stitches but so far I have stitched every day this year which is rare for me.<br /><p>This is me and my 2024 plans: </p><p>I'm Clare, known on social media as Aimetu which is a name I made up from two french words (aime means like or friend and tu means you) so it could be translated as your friend.</p><p>Stitching wise most of my stitching is for friends and family as gifts, they are probably fed up by now as I have been stitching for nearly 40 years. </p><p>I rarely do big projects although last year I stitched a sampler for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. I also only stitch something I know is going to have a purpose, a gift, an exchange or for my church tree at Christmas. </p><p>So I don't have many WIPs but I do have quite a few things that need finishing. I'll be using WIPocalypse to try to finish stitching my two main WIPs, a tablecloth and an embroidery sampler. </p><p>The tablecloth was a Round Robin many years ago. I need to do the hardanger edging and in 2022 I did manage to complete one row of stitches all the way round. It joins up thankfully, I do need to check it's true but the next stage is to stitch the kloster blocks.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0AnEgGPN3tKt-1zb_JXIsVVSSvaaJNeR-V2Qj_BbDVmGtzTmnk_kXYa2QG-8bM6NQUOKMPgwP6DhhDb7DiaZSF0MUMiSJzLpWNZt2EcUTklI1KF_KnTtiToAJBL72X0vAmuSyVyqAeVog_g_IzuP-EMFDZTaNzWipSiEknCCyQes83cqSEW5SMhj82NRf/s3385/20240107_160033.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2740" data-original-width="3385" height="518" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0AnEgGPN3tKt-1zb_JXIsVVSSvaaJNeR-V2Qj_BbDVmGtzTmnk_kXYa2QG-8bM6NQUOKMPgwP6DhhDb7DiaZSF0MUMiSJzLpWNZt2EcUTklI1KF_KnTtiToAJBL72X0vAmuSyVyqAeVog_g_IzuP-EMFDZTaNzWipSiEknCCyQes83cqSEW5SMhj82NRf/w640-h518/20240107_160033.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div>My other WIP is an online stitching course with Sarah at Hello Hooray. I last worked on this in May 2022.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqVSOelbwIkGg6CznXbS2F0J-sClMOxMQ23rrIQ_GB4izROzDWcEkRPmjVjRLclzAahUFyuuw3KQvOQ7RIDhY7-Jwn6A_V-J49Pr1WSlUPrKxL3cdI3nAczgnLBiW-Gw5aSpas_srJ5tE2YjEVz1cJOrFs3lyqEUfRB9J98w0HQYOrC5YBcs5yz2pCzxUs/s2993/20240107_160109.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2993" data-original-width="2378" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqVSOelbwIkGg6CznXbS2F0J-sClMOxMQ23rrIQ_GB4izROzDWcEkRPmjVjRLclzAahUFyuuw3KQvOQ7RIDhY7-Jwn6A_V-J49Pr1WSlUPrKxL3cdI3nAczgnLBiW-Gw5aSpas_srJ5tE2YjEVz1cJOrFs3lyqEUfRB9J98w0HQYOrC5YBcs5yz2pCzxUs/w508-h640/20240107_160109.jpg" width="508" /></a></div><br /><div>I'm hoping to make up some finishes that have been sitting in a bag in a draw. Jo at <a href="https://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/">Serendipitous Stitching</a> asks for theme suggestions which are then voted on by members of IHSW Group on Facebook. The favourite choices are the themes for that month's post ... January's theme is Designer of 2024.<p></p><div>That's a toughie as the year has only just started and I haven't really decided on my projects. Some need making up, some need the stitching completing and others just need doing.</p><p>My first small falls in the last category, it's a plastic canvas kit that has been in my stash for ages. I'm not a fan of kits because it takes me so long to sort the coloured threads and decide which is which. </p><p>Anyway this little kit is stitched, I quite enjoyed seeing the partridge coming to life as I fid the back stitch. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVdwOMv6tHERQX-SShWzhXy-eroknqL8GeuxGpn87UuMW9ml9CY5BKSZWTCFE18WB5ES9RAY2YlboSznCdMrydFCXBqbF2P9J7Y_91lsQAE7j-gIChWyDM-_Q_dUg1oiyLzqyyycGu_AuPJHECrLL7dLJKKDQEkOfGrCxrtcWMJ6oDRoZ_nhvYEjd7RUuW/s1922/20231229_222749.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1922" data-original-width="1770" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVdwOMv6tHERQX-SShWzhXy-eroknqL8GeuxGpn87UuMW9ml9CY5BKSZWTCFE18WB5ES9RAY2YlboSznCdMrydFCXBqbF2P9J7Y_91lsQAE7j-gIChWyDM-_Q_dUg1oiyLzqyyycGu_AuPJHECrLL7dLJKKDQEkOfGrCxrtcWMJ6oDRoZ_nhvYEjd7RUuW/w590-h640/20231229_222749.jpg" width="590" /></a></div><div><br /></div>My other two smalls are also on plastic canvas, I'm trying to use it up as I seem to have quite a bit in my stash. <div><br /></div><div>They are two Father Christmases that I found the charts for in my folders of saved magazine pages. Sadly this year Jo didn't have enough bloggers sign up so she has been doing extra days, I offered to do another so here's my Advent Calendar Blog Hop take two!</p><p>If you visit Jo's blog you can follow the Advent Blog each day and read everyone's Santa stories. I have already shared mine on day 14 so this time my story is about Father Christmas' gifts.</p><p>When I was young my stocking always had an apple, orange and small bag of nuts in. They were always at the very bottom hee hee</p><p>Our son who is a sound sleeper would never sleep the night before his birthday or Christmas. Father Christmas has had to revisit his room as sometimes he was still awake at 2am. This year my ornament was from <a href="https://lecoeurceltique.blogspot.com/?m=1">Mary</a>, a beautiful snowman with matching backing fabric. Mary also stitched me a lovely robin card which I hope I can turn into an ornament to put on our tree next year.<br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw-Yh87xQ_MUFz8UndMbDzc-BmC0RyFIy01KyhRdgp4_HNsJGBzfiycGn_gLm0pdJR1EED7fuwOgXKkHME8qIn18OxIilL7zraJpwTLOKcVXv3siQHkAVsgLrFGHWaXynmNyjtEM8qesHxW3QLWeI4WzJz_PydVe6DfmcQQZPMhSGtafK1f79INdv_MQNA/s4000/20231202_123836.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw-Yh87xQ_MUFz8UndMbDzc-BmC0RyFIy01KyhRdgp4_HNsJGBzfiycGn_gLm0pdJR1EED7fuwOgXKkHME8qIn18OxIilL7zraJpwTLOKcVXv3siQHkAVsgLrFGHWaXynmNyjtEM8qesHxW3QLWeI4WzJz_PydVe6DfmcQQZPMhSGtafK1f79INdv_MQNA/w480-h640/20231202_123836.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5K7lrYCp-0xag286F0qSO4EvCvAIx3gu-hCsDBXOgYvOp1-ZQMf7Ab8rYG42ZNOlwBkT72Yyhn4ao-KAZV-737MCXSDAYNQelMa_UxMzQhaSLz6PP78E3-W38rM-KyTGKccWz4j6HK81DhMcbDE1r-VTEFYTuUZ5kUhspukjJLANvGVSpqJYrflxtfFJD/s4000/20231202_123830.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5K7lrYCp-0xag286F0qSO4EvCvAIx3gu-hCsDBXOgYvOp1-ZQMf7Ab8rYG42ZNOlwBkT72Yyhn4ao-KAZV-737MCXSDAYNQelMa_UxMzQhaSLz6PP78E3-W38rM-KyTGKccWz4j6HK81DhMcbDE1r-VTEFYTuUZ5kUhspukjJLANvGVSpqJYrflxtfFJD/w480-h640/20231202_123830.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbO0AQEaAHIYOD-SBA2EtgwENb0KaX7qIFeztL_IZVxy91a9OsMAlvwk1d4udp3b7f5Fa0aVYT50J6Y0m3hCWGhu5QObReYogAkJepD9QI4WFmmGrMQbOL3i6LCQgwHmTaAXAMNY1tnh9QaHX6IsqoqFNwbJsh0JeaDXkQzyecDqtjspH8v-etLJc97H8y/s4000/20231202_123822.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbO0AQEaAHIYOD-SBA2EtgwENb0KaX7qIFeztL_IZVxy91a9OsMAlvwk1d4udp3b7f5Fa0aVYT50J6Y0m3hCWGhu5QObReYogAkJepD9QI4WFmmGrMQbOL3i6LCQgwHmTaAXAMNY1tnh9QaHX6IsqoqFNwbJsh0JeaDXkQzyecDqtjspH8v-etLJc97H8y/w480-h640/20231202_123822.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My ornament made it's way to Christine, I too stitched a snowman. If you visit Jo's blog you can follow the Advent Blog each day and read everyone's Santa stories, this year the theme.</p><p>As a youngster my Grandparents always took me to the Co-op to see Father Christmas and when our children were younger we took them too. Sadly it's been many years since they had a Father Christmas Grotto in fact the store is now closed and the area being redeveloped. </p><p>I remember one year when our children were young we had to enter a small room made out like a sleigh. We all sat tight as the 'sleigh' bumped along and moving pictures on the wall gave the impression of us travelling to the North Pole. At the end of our journey the front of the sleigh opened to reveal Father Christmas in his Grotto ... all the children squealed with delight.
