Hello Clare,
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring, your Mantel looks so lovely with your special things on there plus the blooms just suit it perfectly. Your cooking looks so yummy.I must remind my son about his special day.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy days.
Bev.
I feel as though I've been living under a rock -- I hadn't heard of St. David's Day before! A patron saint with a daffodil emblem!
ReplyDeleteLovely mantle, decked out in spring finery. :D
Your Welsh cakes look delicious. I tried Bara Brith cake when we were in Wales on vacation and I loved it. So lovely to see that picture of the children dressed in Welsh costumes.
ReplyDeleteYour March decoration looks great. I also have Mausimom's four season designs in my stash but still have to stitch them.
Beautiful spring display Clare, and your challenge finish is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI had cheesy leek and pasta bake for tea yesterday. That counts right?
Welsh cakes look just like singing hinnies - a sort of soft scone dough that you cook on a buttered girdle. I think Welsh culture and North Eastern culture share a lot of common elements from both being coal mining communities
It's nice to have a mantle to display your stitching. Your welsh cakes look lovely. I was never too happy with the ones I made.
ReplyDeleteI am in the process of re-decorating for spring... I love your birdhouse there! And the Spring SAL piece for Needlecraft Haven group is so clean and vivid... Must look it up! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour Spring mantle looks lovely, the new pillow sets it off beautifully.
ReplyDeleteYour mantlepiece looks lovely with the seasonal display. I did manage to remember to change my Just Nan sampler to Spring but I still have my February "love" themed pieces elsewhere!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous post and beautiful stitching :o)
